Jen sits down with Access to chat about her new movie The invention of Lying, and working with co-star Ricky Gervais. Plus, why did Jennifer tell friends she had a camel living in her basement? Jen is so adorable in it.

What would happen in a world where everyone can only tell the truth? ‘The Invention of Lying’ aims to find out!

In the movie, Jason Bateman, Jennifer Garner, Jonah Hill, Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey and Rob Lowe play characters who live in an alternate universe where the concept of lying doesn’t exist.

“I think it has a chance to be pretty special,” Jennifer says of the film, which hits theaters October 2.

Jen heads to Capitol Hill on Wednesday in Washington, D.C.

The 37-year-old actress, along with House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson, introduced the Full Service Community Schools Act.

Jen will be The Ellen Degeneres Show on September 22 and The Invention of Lying Premiere will be on September 21. I love her apperance on this show. Hopefully more shows up soon.

Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., was hamming it up Wednesday when he appeared at a Capitol Hill event alongside actress Jennifer Garner.

“I know a lot of you have come in here to see ‘Bennifer.’ I’m not the ‘Ben,’” Nelson said as the audience broke into guffaws.

“That was a really bad joke,” Garner told Nelson, although she seemed to be laughing herself.

The tabloid press coined the term “Bennifer” to describe Hollywood supercouple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez.

Affleck and Lopez canceled their wedding plans at the last minute. Affleck later married Garner and the couple were dubbed by some as a new “Bennifer.” Affleck was not at Wednesday’s event. (more…)

Jennifer Garner steps out solo this morning in Boston to grab a cup of coffee. Garner seemed to enjoy her solitary stroll, chatting away happily on her cell phone.
