A week after their second daughter’s birth, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have announced her name, Garner’s reps tell PEOPLE exclusively.

It is Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck.

The baby was born Jan. 6 in Los Angeles. Garner and Affleck, both 36, are also parents to daughter Violet, 3.

While no explanation was offered for the name, or if she was named for anyone, one Web site specializing in the origin of names refers to Seraphina as “derived from the Biblical word ‘seraphim,’ which was Hebrew in origin and meant ‘fiery ones.’ “

Jennifer Garner is reportedly doing very well after giving birth to her second baby girl on Tuesday.

The New York Post’s PopWrap caught up with Victor Garber, who used to co-star with Jen in Alias, and he brought them up to speed on the family.

Victor told them, “I talked to her and she’s doing great. It was a much easier birth, which I guess is true of most second births, they’re easier. She sounded fantastic. I’m very excited.” (more…)

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have welcomed another girl, their rep confirms to Usmagazine.com.

The baby was born Tuesday in Los Angeles and is healthy, says the rep.

No other details were available.

A smiling Garner was spotted being wheeled on a roll-away hospital bed as she was taken to her room. A blanket was draped over her, and it appeared that she was holding the baby. Shortly after, the hospital staff brought in a portable bassinet and heart monitor to check on the baby. (more…)

Jennifer Garner has sparked reports she’s planning to ring in the New Year with a new baby after checking into a California hospital on New Year’s Eve.

The star is nine months pregnant with her second child and she and husband Ben Affleck were spotted entering Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Wednesday.

Garner was reluctant to reveal she was expecting until she was five months pregnant, but her thrilled mother-in-law and her former Alias co-star Victor Garber let the baby news slip in July.

The actress told People magazine at the time, “It always makes me laugh when people say ‘Is she? Isn’t she?’ It’s like, ‘Eventually you will know, so just chill out for a minute.”

Garner and Affleck have a two-year-old daughter named Violet.
