Ben Affleck and wife Jennifer Garner held a fundraiser for Barack Obama
in Boston last weekend, raising an estimated $40,000. The event made
news from Beantown all the way to China, with Affleck making sure most
of the tickets were priced at a low $50 so everyone could afford to
attend — before the party sold out, that is. “It’s not a $1,500-a-plate
event for the elite,” the Oscar winner told reporters, though a $250
VIP ticket including a special reception was also available. You can view some photos here.
